ZOOM is a Japanese manufacturer of professional audio equipment, best known for its guitar and bass effects pedals, but it also produces recording equipment and drum machines. The company's roots go back to 1980, when it created the first wireless microphone. In 1985, ZOOM created unique speakers with an aluminum cone, significantly extending the low frequency range and increasing dynamics.

ZOOM developed its own Variable Amplitude Sound Modeling (VAMS) technology, which took the input signal to a new level. The company was also the first to develop a "Noise Reduction" system. Today, Zoom also produces its own professional audio interfaces using USB and Thunderbolt buses, in addition to all of the above, and is developing new products, from consumer to professional, that allow musicians to further express their ideas.
